2010 could well be the polar opposite of 2009 in that we’ve had next to no driver moves this year, but next year we could easily see a big reshuffle in some of the big names.
I have to disagree with Keith’s assessment that Williams have let Rosberg down – in my opinion it’s the other way around. Nico always looked promising, but last year he was nowhere near convincing enough against Nakajima, throwing away a couple of critical scoring opportunities, whereas Nakajima dragged the car into the points on a couple of occasions that it should perhaps not have been there. If Rosberg does not improve in 2009 he may struggle to find a drive, as Williams will be compelled to keep Nakajima (or another Japanese driver) if they stick to their Toyota engine deal, and certainly young Hulkenberg looks promising for a race seat sometime soon.

Got to agree with Paul that Vettel must be on a multi-year contract otherwise McLaren will snap him up in 2010. Then we’d find out how good Lewis is….

I think we already know how good hamilton is. If he gets a decent car to drive, instead of a shed! i think the rest of the line up is unimportant because he’ll be the front runner anyway.
Will be good to see him race against Button thoe because he will probably be a better backup driver for Hamilton than Kovalainen

7 new teams have submitted applications for the 2010 season. They are as follows:
Campos
Litespeed
Lola
March Racing Organisation
Prodrive
Superfund
Team US F1
Its unlikely that all 7 teams will be granted entry to next season however with the grid being expanded to 26 slots, at least 3 of them will be there.

The 2010 entries, apart from the FOTA ones, are these:
» AT&T WilliamsF1:
Toyota engine contract in place, alternatively with Cosworth
» Campos Meta 1:
possibly running Dallara-designed car, likely with Cosworth engines
» Prodrive:
allegedly with Aston Martin-badged customer Mercedes engines
» Team US F1:
Cosworth engines confirmed
» Lola Grand Prix:
Cosworth engines confirmed
» Litespeed GP:
with Mike Gascoyne
» March Racing Organisation:
likely with Cosworth engines; perhaps a joint effort with N.Technology
» Team Superfund:
with Alex Wurz; Cosworth engines confirmed
» Epsilon Euskadi:
with Joan Villadelprat and Sergio Rinland; likely with Cosworth engines
» Brabham:
backed by Franz Hilmer of Formtech, and possibly Colin Kolles; acquired the former Super Aguri base; no engine partner announced, but likely Cosworth
» N.Technology:
likely with Cosworth engines; perhaps a joint effort with March

Alonso is going to Ferrari. Having a 2010 contract doesn’t mean you are going to be racing for that team, it just means that team is going to have to pay you off.
Massa is staying at Ferrari if fit to race in 2010 otherwise they will keep Raikkonen.
If Raikkonen does leave Ferrari then he will probably go back to McLaren and replace Kovalianen.

Proton only bought a portion of the old lotus rnd and technology. and If you drive a Proton, you would know that it over steers all the time at any corner, when you try to take it in sport mode. So Proton owning Lotus is not the point, and BTW, the Lotus F1 team has nothing to do with Proton.
can anyone confirm if Timo has the contract for 2010. I hear Toyota is trying to get KIMI in their team. who gets out then…?

Its hard to predit the new teams, as they are not so heavily rumoured.
Brawn
Button+Rosberg
Red Bull
Webber+Vettel
Mclaren
Hamilton+Kubica
Ferrari
Alonso+Massa
Toyota
Trulli+Glock
Williams
Barrechello+Hulkemburg
Renault
Riakkonen+Grosjean
Force India
Sutil+Liuzzi
Torro Rosso
Buemi+Alguesuari
BMW Sauber(Or whatever they’ll be called)
Heidfeld+Klien
Heres the rumours for the new teams…
US F1
*Jaques Villeneuve
*Juan Pablo Montoya
*Danica Patrick
*Brendon Hartley
*Scott Speed
My guess is that it will not be Villeneuve or Montoya, probably not Danica either. It may well end up being 2 drivers not mentioned above.
Campos F1
*Pedro De La Rosa
*Jaime Alguesuari
*Alex Wurz
*Lucas Di Grassi
I think:
De la Rosa+Di Grassi
Manor
I have actually heard nothing about this team. Litterally nothing, apart from their entry.
Lotus
The same goes for Lotus unfortunately.
Dennis

Well Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Ferrari are certain.
Redbull
Vettel + Webber
Toro Rosso
Buemi + Alguersari
Ferrari
Alonso + Massa
The other teams have a few certainties but a lot of guesses here.
McClaren
Hamilton (certain) + Raikkonen ( if not of to go compete in the rally championship)
Williams
Hülkenberg (quite certain, really exciting!) + Barrichello (if Button and Brawn Gp can work things out)
Brawn Gp
Button (almost certain) + Rosberg (rumour, could also go to McClaren but will leave Williams)
BMW
Heidfeld + I have no idea
Toyota
Glock (not certain but seems like it) + Anyone but Trulli, possibly Kovalainen.
Renault
Grosjean (not certain but he doesn’t do bad) + Kubica (probably the announcement for next week).
Force India
Sutil+Liuzzi (no idea about both of them but especially Sutil isn’t doing bad, although he does destroy a few cars more than he should)
The other teams and drivers: no idea.
Some drivers to take into account: Vitaly Petrov, Lucas Di Grassi (excellent Gp2 drivers), Neel Jani ( I think he was talking with one of the new teams, don’t hear much about him anymore), Andy Soucek (possibly Campos??).
